Your voice is yours. This page explains, in plain language, what we hold, why, and how to take it back.
Effective July 27, 2026
SoulCall is a place to speak the truth out loud. We collect only what we need to run that: your email to make an account, and the recordings you choose to make. Your recording is never published, curated, or posted anywhere until you give consent — and you can revoke that consent or delete everything at any time. When you delete, it's gone: we hard-purge the audio and the records tied to it. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, we don't ask for your phone number, and there are no public likes, follows, or comments to chase.
SoulCall ("SoulCall," "we," "us") is a voice-first community app for Black audiences. One question drops each week; members answer with their voice; an editorial team curates a few of the most powerful recordings — only with the speaker's consent — into short videos that may be shared on social media. This policy covers the SoulCall mobile app and the website at mysoulcall.com.
Recording something is not the same as publishing it. No recording is curated, featured, rendered into a video, or posted anywhere unless you have given recording consent. If you revoke consent, your recording is pulled from every editorial queue and nothing is posted from it. If a video was already shared publicly, contact us and we will take it down.
If your recording is featured and you've consented, we may publish a rendered video to platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, or X. Those platforms have their own privacy practices, which we don't control. Nothing is shared without your consent, and featuring is always optional.
Your account data lives in a managed Postgres database (Supabase); your audio lives in encrypted object storage (Cloudflare R2). Data is encrypted in transit, and access to member data is restricted by row-level security so that members reach only their own data and staff reach only what curation requires. No system is perfectly secure, but we design SoulCall so that the private stays private by default.
To make any of these requests, use the controls in the app or email us at the address below.
We keep your account and recordings for as long as your account is active, so you can return to your own history. When you delete a recording or your account, we purge it. We keep only the minimal records we're required to for security or legal reasons, and no longer.
SoulCall is intended for adults 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for meaningful changes, let members know in the app. Continuing to use SoulCall after an update means you accept the revised policy.
